Hiddink said at his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow's
visit of Newcastle United in the Premier League that the Spanish striker
had suffered the injury innocuously while challenging for a header.
The Dutchman does, however, expect his main striker to be able to play
against the Magpies tomorrow evening by wearing a protective mask, joining
teammate Cesar Azpilicueta, who is recovering
from a facial injury, in doing so.
"Today is the day they put on a mask," Hiddink told reporters.
"We are a team with a lot of masks. A Zorro team.
"I hope. I'm not sure, but I think he will be available."
