I find it difficult to believe that the masses in America are politically and psychologically sophisticated. They are simply very much open to hollowed political manipulations of their leaders/politicians. They seem not to have possessed the intellectual depth as a prerequisite for analysing domestic and international affairs, and then deploy such to protect their interest.
Therefore, the politicians, just as it is obtained in other less developed climes, play on their fears and emotions. And that is what Donald Trump is doing.
The man has the ability to convey his message bluntly and boldly. Daring whatever feelings that could be evoked against his vituperations. His ability to speak "political truth" at a time when America is apparently threatened of its grip of political and economic superpower of the globe makes him to be gaining popularity day by day. I have not noticed any use of tact in his campaign messages.
This makes me recall the war in Iraq and Afghanistan which Bush prosecuted with billions of tax payers' money. That war has linkage with crisis of the 2007/2008 economic crises and the debt crises of the eurozone. Are u surprised? Even the depression of the 1930s has linkage with the First and Second World Wars.
Bush manipulated the American people based on their fears after 9/11 to lunch wars in sovereign territories. Now, Trump is doing same manipulation based on the current economic situation in America. Nothing else! Just manipulation of the minds of the people.
