According to information from the police, the gunmen invaded the station at about 12:35a.m, with speedboats.
“Shortly afterwards, the UBA Bank in Amassoma was attacked by hoodlums, the ATM machines was damaged but an attempted to enter the bank, was met with stiff resistance from a reinforced unit of policemen,” the Police Public Relations Officer in Bayelsa, Asinim Butswat, said in a statement.
Mr. Butswat said no life was lost, and no money was stolen.
He said the incidents is under investigating by the police.
